It was a fairly hot day that July afternoon. The place was at a summer resort, the setting was at the outdoor pool. Marianne draped her towel over the back of her lounge chair. Then she decided to take a quick dip in the cold pool to cool off. Two out of control teenage boys who were not being watched by their parents grabbed her towel as they played tug of war with it. Eventually it ended in the pool with them and sunk to the bottom. Martin had been looking at her for quite a while as he felt an attraction. He noticed the two teenage boys grab her towel and lose it in the pool. It only took a few minutes to walk to his room at poolside and bring out an extra towel. Marianne came out of the cold blue water shivering as she went to her lounge chair. The towel was missing and cursed out loud. Martin somehow knew that she would be upset and wanting that towel. He was prepared to save her day. His quick feet marched over to her as he wrapped his huge spare towel around her. She invited him to join her as the remaining one week vacation was spent together due to a special connection and a good thoughtful gesture by him. The following summer was booked at the same resort. Only this time it was done together as they now share a same room at poolside. Extra towels were taken just in case. Two years later Marianne and Martin went on their honeymoon. She stepped out of the shower before they were about to go to bed. He was waiting there silently as he wrapped a large spare towel around her. They both smiled and laughed out loud at the fond memory of how they first met....Maybe hot July days and cold blue water of outdoor pools have something to do with it. Summer resorts and a special connection sure did help. Case in point in a short love story about Marianne and Martin, where their magical moment was in a spare towel....
